Outdoor courts at the Vancouver Tennis Center

Q. Do you have to be a member to play?
No. The Vancouver Tennis Center (VTC) is a public tennis and racquetball facility owned and operated by the City of Vancouver. Participants may utilize the facility in one of two ways. For those who play frequently, becoming a member (with monthly membership fees) may make the most sense. Non-members pay a per-person per-activity fee.

Q. What are the benefits of becoming a member of VTC?
Members may reserve courts seven days in advance, participate in all weekly in-house activities at no additional charge and receive discounts on all lesson programs. Non-members may reserve courts two days in advance, pay a non-member user fee for activities and pay standard rates for all lesson programs.

Q. How long is a VTC tennis court reservation?
A court reservation is one hour and 15 minutes in length.

Q. When is it easiest to get an indoor court at VTC?
It can be difficult to get an indoor court time during prime playing time. Those times are Monday through Friday at 9:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 6 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. It is easiest to get an indoor court before 9:15 a.m., at 1 p.m. or 2:15 p.m. All weekend court times are easier to reserve.

Q. How many courts does VTC have?
The Vancouver Tennis Center has nine indoor tennis courts, four outdoor tennis courts (also lined for pickleball) and two indoor racquetball courts.

Q. Does VTC offer tennis lessons?
Yes! VTC offers private, semi-private and group lessons for children, adults, and seniors of all ability levels. We have an extensive Junior Development Program with programs for kids ages 4-18. For adults and seniors we offer private, semi-private and group lessons in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, seven days a week.

Q. Does VTC offer tournaments and leagues?
Yes! The Vancouver Tennis Center hosts a wide variety of tournaments and leagues for kids, adults and seniors of all ages and ability levels.

Q. What else does VTC offer?
VTC offers handball, pickleball (outdoors only), racquetball, wallyball and ping pong/table tennis. The center also has tennis ball machine rentals, tennis racquet/demo rentals, stringing services and an affiliation with Players Racquet Shop, which provides racquets, shoes, clothing and accessory sales to VTC's members and patrons.
