POSTED MAY 16, 2017

On May 8, 2017, Vancouver Police took a report of a burglary. The victim reported that his apartment was accessed due to a possibly unlocked door and several items were stolen, including a special edition video gaming system. 

A short time later, surveillance video captured images of a male and a female suspect attempting to sell the same gaming system at a nearby Gamestop and getting into a white sedan that was occupied by two other males.

04/27/17 Vancouver Police took a report of a theft from Wilco farm store.  A male and female suspect took a pair of Danner boots and left the store without paying for them and were seen leaving in a white Jeep.

On January 10, 2017 Vancouver Police responded to a robbery at a residence in the 3000 block of V Street. A female victim was in the home, heard pounding at the door and when she opened it an unknown male pointed a gun at her and robbed her of multiple items before fleeing the residence. The victim was not injured. 

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 30’s, 5’08”, 190 lbs, wearing tan dirty work pants, and a dirty dark sweatshirt or jacket.  

A photo of the suspect was obtained as part of the ongoing investigation and Vancouver Police are attempting to identify him.

On December 27, 2016 Vancouver Police were contacted regarding a theft of money and a debit card from a wallet at the Fred Meyer located at 11325 SE Mill Plain Blvd. The victim purchased gas, paid for it and accidentally left his wallet at the gas station payment window. A female is seen returning the wallet to the customer service desk, after removing several hundred dollars in cash and the victim's debit card.

On 10/30/2016 a male and a female entered the Safeway Store located at 3707 Main St. dressed in skeleton makeup. They loaded up a cart completely full of groceries to include a bag of dog food and left the store without any attempt to pay for the items. When confronted by a store employee, the male pulled a knife out and waved it at the employee. Both suspects fled the area on foot.

Store personnel saw the female suspect enter the store, select an expensive vacuum cleaner and exit the store without any attempt to pay for the item. She was seen getting into a green Subaru Outback that was driven by a male.

On October 9, 2016 Vancouver Police responded to the Wal Mart located at 221 NE 104th Avenue for the report of a fraud. Three female suspects stole nearly $40,000 worth of pre-paid cash cards. These suspects are believed to be involved in similar crimes in Oregon.

On August 25, 2016 Vancouver Police took a report of an unauthorized charge on the victim's credit card at a local Best Buy. In addition to the unauthorized charge, at the time of the transaction, the store employee asked for the suspect's ID and he produced identification that had the victim's name, which matched the credit card, but had the suspect's photo.
