The Evidence Unit of the Vancouver Police Department is responsible for maintaining the integrity of evidence and property in accordance with state laws and departmental policies and procedures. The unit has over 35,000 items in their facility and typically receives over 12,000 new items per year.
National Bike Registry
The National Bike Registry (NBR®) has been working with law enforcement to return stolen bikes to their rightful owners. A bike registered with NBR, the only true national database, can be identified by police and returned to you instead of being sold at an auction. Visit the National Bike Registry website to register a bike.
When items are eligible for release, the owners are notified via mail of the proper procedures for retrieving property. Property return is done by appointment only. If you believe we have property belonging to you, call the Evidence Unit at 360-487-7404. Please have your case number and other information available.
