20th anniversary 9/11 Patriot Day ceremony to be held at Vancouver Waterfront Park

The Community Military Appreciation Committee (CMAC) and the City of Vancouver invite the community to attend a special 9/11 Patriot Day ceremony commemorating the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001.
The event starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 at Vancouver Waterfront Park, 695 Waterfront Way.
The ceremony will feature the Vancouver Fire & Police Honor Guard, musical performances, a ceremonial bell ringing, Vancouver Veterans of Foreign Wars rifle salute, a water spray display on the Columbia River by the Vancouver Fire Department’s fire boat Discovery, and a release of doves from a World War II PT boat on the river.
