Nikkei is a 5-acre neighborhood park that features a unique playground with dinosaur-themed play equipment and a sand area for uncovering fossils.

Opened in 2021, the name Nikkei (NEE-kay) Park was chosen by the community to honor the Japanese American truck farmers who grew crops in this area before they were forced into prison camps during WWII. Truck farmers were a vital part of the local food supply. By 1930, 47% of truck farmers in Clark County were Japanese American.

Nikkei is a Japanese word used to identify the community of Japanese emigrants and their descendants. Nikkei Park remembers and honors the legacy of the families that experienced great injustice with a place filled with beauty, joy and a sense of belonging.

Limited parking is located on-site with additional parking available at Image Elementary during non-school hours.
