Van Vleet is a 2.8-acre neighborhood park in the Northwood neighborhood of Vancouver. It features a unique playground with a forest critter theme that includes nature-inspired equipment with leaves, sprouts, rocks, logs and petals.

Van Vleet Park was originally part of a planned community constructed by the Vancouver Housing Authority in the Heights area after WWII. The park is named after Lewis Van Vleet, an early Clark County surveyor and the original grantee of the park land. Van Vleet was a representative in the territorial legislature. In 1887, his daughter, Louisa, became Clark County’s first female doctor.
