Lodging Tax Grant Program
The City of Vancouver offers lodging tax grants for projects or events that increase overnight and day-visit tourism within the city. The grants are available to non-profit organizations or government agencies with projects, events or activities that increase visits to the city or help increase tourism-related revenues.
The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee – in collaboration with Wherabout Travel – is currently working to improve and streamline the lodging tax grant application process. LTAC plans to open applications for the 2025 grant program in the month of September 2024. More information to come and how to apply.
Applications are reviewed by the City’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, which then makes funding recommendations to the Vancouver City Council. City Council then awards the grants.
The grants are funded through a 4 percent lodging tax on hotel, motel and bed and breakfast stays.
