Police Records Division
The Vancouver Police Records Division is open to the public Monday through Friday during normal business hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., excluding holidays and is located at the Vancouver Police Department West Precinct 2800 NE Stapleton Rd.
The Records Division also provides 24-hour support to law enforcement agencies by performing a variety of specialized services including: processing police reports and citations; entry, verification and timely removal of misdemeanor warrants, stolen vehicles, missing people and stolen articles in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and the Washington Crime Information Center (WACIC).
Public services offered by the Records Division include:
- Concealed Pistol Licenses
- Firearms Dealer Licenses
- Local background checks
- A local background check for an individual contains any contact with the Vancouver Police Department. The local background check does not include conviction or other court disposition information. Citizens may request a local background check online by clicking on Online Request Form button and submitting a Records Request with the Vancouver Police Department or in person.
- Criminal history conviction records for the state of Washington may be obtained through the Washington Access To Criminal History (WATCH) program from the Washington State Patrol.
