Vancouver Police Investigate Collision Involving Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle

Last night at around 7:15 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area of SE 117th Ave/SE Mill Plain Blvd. The driver was traveling eastbound on SE Mill Plain Blvd. in the lane closest to the divider, when he struck a pedestrian who was crossing mid-block approximately 10 feet from the nearest, designated crosswalk and against the walk symbol. The driver stopped, remained on scene and did not show any signs of impairment. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation.
This is the third serious injury or fatality collision in 2025 involving a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in Vancouver.
