Vancouver Police investigate fatal hit and run

The suspect in this case, Luella F. Roberson, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail for Vehicular Homicide and an outstanding Washington State Department of Corrections warrant. The victim has not yet been positively identified.
The investigation is continuing and nothing further is releasable at this time.

Today at approximately 1:10 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to the 2100 block of NE Andresen Road for a welfare check of a male under a tree. When officers arrived, they located a deceased male who appeared to have been killed, possibly when a vehicle hit him while he was sitting under the tree. Officers located the involved vehicle nearby, unoccupied. Video obtained by officers showed a white female, with distinctive clothing leaving the scene. A K9 track was conducted, and a female matching the suspect description was located nearby and detained pending further investigation.
Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes team and Vancouver Police Traffic Unit are currently investigating this incident and conducting interviews. Nothing further is releasable at this time.
